IJAL’s call for papers

We invite all of you to publish your research reports, literary reviews, book reviews, and other research-based papers in our Indonesian Journal of Applied Linguistics (IJAL), formerly Conaplin Journal. We put special priority for the short versions of theses, dissertations, papers presented in workshops, seminars or conferences that have not been published in a journal with ISSN or a book with ISBN.

The aim of our journal is to promote a principled approach to research on language and language-related concerns by encouraging enquiry into relationship between theoretical and practical studies. The journal welcomes contributions in such areas of current analysis as First and Second Language Teaching and Learning, Language in Education, Language Planning, Language Testing, Curriculum Design and Development, Multilingualism and Multilingual Education, Discourse Analysis, Systemic and Functional Grammar, and Translation.

Indonesian Journal of Applied Linguistics (IJAL) is a publication of the Language Center of Indonesia University of Education. It is published twice a year in July and January. It is an internationally peer reviewed journal with ISSN: 2301-9468 and has been indexed by DOAJ.

THE DEADLINE OF MANUSCRIPTS SUBMISSION IS 27 April 2014. The manuscript should be at least 6000 words to be considered for reviews and follow the style of IJAL. First selection will be based on the number of words, mechanics, grammar, and style formatting. When these could be met, the papers will be sent to the reviewers.

We do not charge any cost for the published manuscripts. Every contributor will get two free copies of the journal. The online version of IJAL including its style format, citation and referencing can be viewed through: http://ejournal.upi.edu/index.php/IJAL/issue/current. For your quick reference, enclosed is an example of the paper that has been published in IJAL.

The manuscripts that you sent will be blind-reviewed and if accepted will appear in IJAL Vol. 4, July 2014.
